The accident left a woman hospitalized.

The case started in April 2019 when officers responded to the 1600 block of north 7th Street for a report of a male down inside of a residence.

Telley Palmer, 29, died after being shot 12 times early Sunday.

Chief Ken Scarlette met with families of those hurt in the accident that resulted in a former Springfield sergeant being charged with aggravated DUI.

The arrest follows an accident Thursday that left two people on a motorcycle seriously hurt.

Additional charges could be filed after toxicology results are available.

The 19-year old male is hospitalized with a non-life threatening injury.

SPD said the individual is a suspect in another shooting Wednesday.

The incident happened near the area of N. Fifth St. and N. Grand Ave.

Police say they were notified early Saturday morning.
