Donna Massey, the mother of the Springfield woman who died in a shooting by a sheriff's office, holds her hands to her face during a Friday morning rally.

Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old mother of two, died early Saturday after being shot by a deputy called to her home after the report of a prowler.
The incident is being investigated by the Illinois State Police. A spokesman for the organization declined to comment now.
Meanwhile, the Massey family has hired nationally known attorney Ben Crump.
