Downtown Springfield

Chris Nickell is the COO of Highlander Renewables, a company in the renewable energy industry. Nickell also competes in highland games and owns several buildings in downtown Springfield. He spoke with Community Voices about his career and traveling to Scotland to participate in highland games.

Executive Director of Downtown Springfield Inc. Kayla Graven and Executive Vice President of the American Institute of Architects Illinois Stacey Pfingsten joined us on Community Voices to talk about the architecture scavenger hunt planned for downtown Springfield. The scavenger hunt allows participants to explore downtown architecture as well as downtown restaurants and shops. The walk takes place on Sept. 22, Oct. 6 and Oct. 20.
